I'm picking up an AT4 in the next couple weeks and want to have a black wheel.  I actually like the stock wheel, just would prefer it to be black.  I'm assuming I can just have the wheels repainted?  Any trick to this?  I assume I want it powder coated?  Black gloss color?  Anyone else done this that can put up some pictures?

Gonna have to get the OEM finish off.  Not an easy task.  Powder coat is the way to go and not rattle can like some have done.  So cheesy.  Better off just getting the wheels already done.  Try Wheel Pros.  They have nice OEM style wheels (OE Creations) in vhrome, black, black gloss and satin.  These wheels have a flawless finish and fit for the T1 and balance out nice.  Enter year make model then OE Creations.  Wheel Pros is a distributor but can tell you the closest local dealer.  I have a set of chrome OE Creations GM style wheels and couldn't be happier.  As nice or better than OEM. Good luck

Agreed with above comment. Find the wheel you like and sell your stock ones. Or you can find a whee and tire store around that might have take offs.  That’s what I did with mine. I traded my 22 high country wheels in for other 22 oem  wheels.

As said above DONT attempt to do it your self as you will never get the rim to the point of paint sticking to it. Rims have so much variation in temp while driving getting hot and cooling off when sitting. It might look real good if you do it your self but it wont last, rims live in a very harsh environment.

I bookmarked this company when I was looking for black at4 wheels.  Don't know anything about them. They did have the black 18" at4 wheels a few months ago, but I didn't see them when I just searched.  Might want to call them. They also have an exchange price.  https://www.detroitwheelandtire.com/

They're reputable.

Powder coat is the only way to go, and Detroit tire is way too expensive.
