I'm looking at ads and the descriptions are not always clear.

Do these controls (in red square)  indicate that the truck has the Trailering Package and as such has the (G80) locking rear differential?

As far as I'm aware all trucks got the G80, but the trailer brake controller (as circled) is apart of the trailering package, yes.

Do you already have a truck? Or looking to buy one, and which year?

RPO codes are in the glove box up to the model year 2017.

Can anyone else confirm that all 2014+ trucks come with G80?

So I read a few threads from more forums, and from what I can surmise, 2wd trucks might not get them? Look at your glove box RPO label and look for G80 which is the locker, NHT which is max tow and Z82 which is a normal trailer package. Trailer brake was an option for some trucks but standard with the max tow package.

Still not 100 percent sure on all this but those are the right RPO codes for their respective packages. Hope im not messing with you too much, seems confusing trying to read all the info out there and know what is happening. Hope this helps...

I was just checking if those controllers would indicate the truck has a rear locker.  I can usually see that in the ad pics.  I'd rather not give my contact info to dealers/sellers asking for RPO codes unless I'm seriously interested in the truck.

G80 (Eaton Locker) is an option and not standard on all truck trim levels. The following is from a 2015 Silverado sales brochure. It states which models it is standard or optional on as well as being included in both trailering packages.

Well, if you see something you are interested in I doubt they will ask name and whatnot if its just an email asking about the truck. If you wanted to keep your name out of things you could always get the VIN of the truck in question and email GM and ask for a RPO or "build sheet". They did that for me when I asked. Then just look at the RPO list and compare it to the ones above to find out what packages it has
