Mine was just a wet head liner that quickly dried. just happened to be driving in the rain with someone in the back seat that noticed it. They replaced/resealed the bolts and has been working so far. Did they pull out the headliner to fix? I know mine is but they said when they pull the liner out, it is going to look like crap after reinstallation.

I was more worried about the water stains but they cleaned it up pretty good too. I asked what they used and was told window cleaner
the kba Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Add my 2019 sierra. It's dripping water from headliner over rear window. Nice water spot on a 54000 dollar vehicle. Only 34000 miles on it alas 4 years old. S O B.
shadow gray 2020 hd Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 Back to the dealer mine will go. Confirmed it is leaking yesterday. Leaking from above the rear window. About the same spot on both sides.

I don't think the clearance lights would come into play here. I have them on my truck and they are just above the windshield seal. To me if they were leaking it would show up on the front of the headliner not the back. But I could be wrong because I am quite bit lol....

Fortunately I don't have this problem with my truck but I do have a question. Do you have to remove the headliner to get to the spoiler bolts or is this something that is easily checked from the outside?

The tsb associated with the leaking rear window says the headliner has to come out and they remove and reseal the window. I don't know though, because the leaks in my case look to be from about 3-4 inches above the window. My headliner is discolored, not sure what they will do about that, if it stays that way due to being stained. The girl I talked with at the dealer to make an appointment was clueless. She said she didn't know anything about a tsb for the leak. They have me down to look at it next Friday. Still raining here, and my truck doesn't fit in the garage. Hopefully don't get water in the floorboards/carpet, sure don't need mold in a truck that cost this much. Considered trading it in, until I priced out a 24 with the build website pretty well equipped the same. The MSRP was over $73 grand...

I hope you get a resolution to this problem quickly..

Comes out over the top of the rear window like 4” or so

Like is it attached from the inside under the headliner or are the bolts visible from the topside.
