Bed Lights

I HAVE 2020 SILVERADO 1500 RST WITH THE BED LIGHTS. MY QUESTION IS HAS ANYONE ADDED MORE BED LED LIGHTS AND CAN YOU TIE INTO THE WIRING FOR THE TWO BED LIGHTS OR WILL IT THROW A CODE

i have a 2019 Silverado 1500 LD - has bed lights , also added a 36" led strip ( front of bed) splice into bed lights. NO Problem

This weekend I had an interesting issue adding two 60" LED light strips down my step assist bars for entry lighting. I tap'd into bed light on passenger side, worked perfect. However when I went to do the same thing on  driver side the LED strip would just flash. I noticed it was only getting around 10v. I ended up tapping into the reverse wire instead and all seems well. Looks great too imo.

What led strips did you use? Do the lights stay on or shut off after a short time?
