I have a 2007 3500 4x4 that once it hits 3000 rpm in reverse, that's it. It doesn't make sense to have a rev limiter in reverse if you are trying to get unstuck.

Thanks

Wouldn't shock me if there's a rev limit in reverse for safety purposes. Never tried it.

I'd test that theory on my own truck for you, if the transmission wasn't blown. I've been working on this POS for over a week now just to change a transmission. If I had a minute with the engineers of these things, I'll tell ya ... ? ... But I digress...

What material are your wheels in, where they aren't getting any traction spinning at 30mph or so, but will at 40 or 50 mph?

Mud, snow, sand, and it's 20 mph. That just digs you deeper. My dealer knows nothing.
