Angelina Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 How do you use a Chevrolet 2020 Silverado 2500 to jump another car?
spm1us Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 I use my 770 jump box the past few years - much easier and no jump cables to carry.
unit Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 (edited) You do it just like any other car you've ever had. Just be careful not to cross the connections as most modern cars and trucks have sensitive electronics that can be damaged it isn't done correctly. The passenger side battery on Duramax engines have an easy connect terminal on the battery and a ground lug on the right fender just ahead of the battery for easy cable connections. I'm not sure what connections gasoline engines have but they probably have something similar. Edited December 14, 2020 by unit Added text

It's Tim Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 If anything goes wrong you can disable the truck and cause a very expensive repair. Better to just buy a new battery which is what is needed anyways.

Imcrazy Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Don’t ever jump start with modern cars. It can fry your computer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
