8” Screen Resolution

Recommended Posts

What model do you have?  I had a 19 LTZ and the resolution wasn't terrible but it was as bright as the sun backing up at night.  My 20 AT4 has much better resolution and is a normal brightness when backing up.

I read in here that there was a fix from the dealer to adjust brightness of the screen when in reverse. It defaults to full brightness apparently which makes it very grainy. I swapped to brighter led reverse lights which helped some and they tow mirror cargo lights helped further but it would be better with the brightness turned down.

I came from a Durango and the resolution was better. I think dodge/jeep had the best resolution on the market. There are certainly others with worse than gm but it seems like such an easy thing to get right that it's certainly disappointing.

I have a 2019 LT with 8” screen. The camera is terrible but it’s also just garbage compared to even my 2014 Challenger.  Maybe it’s a GM thing.

I recently went from a 19 to a 21 and the camera has improved a lot.

It also depends on the tech package you have. Higher model trucks have an HD screen and camera. When I test drove blazers I noticed a pretty big difference between the two screens. 36dc3fd164a11eb53fcb37ac58e7b7a9.png
