I have never owned a car and I don’t know if I am just getting old, getting too used to the rental Cadillac Devilles’s and Buick Park Aves that I drive every week or what, but I really have a hankering for a nice cushy riding full size car to serve as my daily driver once my HD is paid off.

Check out these nice new V8 hemi powered rear wheel drive offerings by DaimlerChrylser for 2004. I wish GM would pull their head out of the sand and start building nice rear wheel drive full size cars a little sooner than 2007 before I take delivery of my first car.....DaimlerChryler car at that.

IMO :(:D

I have had too much experience with DC for me to ever own another. That and I still feel that the "HEMI" is/was nothing but a marketing ploy.

I wouldn't mind having a 3rd gen Impala SS, 96 is my fav. I don't think any company but Benz and Mercedes build any full size rear wheel drive cars that would make me happy, but they are way up there.

You are right about GM needing to pull their head out their arse tho. :(

Hey Larry, Not :D ing or anything....But you might want to do the dial-up

users a favor, and edit the image tags out of your first post so the page will load a

little faster. :(

Well I will take my full size 65 Impala SS, thank you. After I redid the entire suspension it rides really well. Now to finish off the interior and it will be sweet to drive. Not that it isn't now but when it is nice and quiet inside and comfiy with the AC hooked up, yea, that is what I'm talkin about. Good old American Muscle and comfort. Room to carry the family, dog, cat, weeks worth of clothing, and groceries all nice and neat in the trunk. :(

So the gas mileage isn't the best but hey, at 9mpg that isn't to much worse than a fully loaded 8.1, right????

Just read what I wrote, family up in the seated area, clothes and food in the trunk. :D

i've got a 96 Fleetwood Brougham for a daily driver. Can't beat it for floating down the interstate. I go 38 miles each way to work. It's got 131,000 miles on it and still going strong! i would still never ever give up my teeth jarring ride in my 77 chevy though! it is getting kinda hard to get into now that I'm getting old with it's 9" of lift..lol...

Those things look like someone dropped a steel plate on a Durango.

But thats just me. :(

coundln't have said it better myself.

Yeah have fun with M-B quality with Chrysler mixed in. Can't wait to see how that works out.

2007 you already got a Bonneville V-8, with an Impala V-8 following. When it comes to large sedans for daily drivers, FWD makes more sense. If it was a cruiser or something you wanted to take on twisty roads regularly, THEN RWD would make sence.
