telescoping steering column?

I would like to change my non-telescoping steering wheel/column to one that telescopes.  I just can't get comfortable sitting so close to the pedals and need more legroom.  Is it possible?

OK, mine telescopes after all.  It is a new truck and I had to yank it pretty hard the first time.  I feel foolish.

No worries or need to feel foolish, all new vehicles take some acclimation, anyone that has gotten into an unfamiliar rental car knows from what you speak.

Try being the guy that works at the rental car company that gets all those sorts of questions, but no training on the cars.  That's why they always look like a deer in the headlights.  I stopped asking them due to feeling sorry for them.

Thanks to your post I found out mine does too!

I had two cars for the kids, a Pontiac G6 and a Chevy Cruze had them for years and discovered long after purchase.
