Guys I am about ready to order a new 22 HD truck and am pushing myself to get dark walnut slate but I need help to avoid the route I always seem to go....black!  If you have dark walnut slate please give me your honest input.  Love it and glad you got it or you regret it.  I will tell you right now I would get it for the brown dash and doors which I think looks nice but not for the super light gray cloth seats.  I will put seat covers on them immediately to make sure myself or my kids don't ruin them.  I am Ok buying a new truck and investing in seat covers.  I know some people aren't and that's OK but its fine for me.  I just need to know if you went with brown and what your thoughts are after living with it for awhile.

Love it. Think it looks rich and nice to have something besides black.  Light seats no worry for me.  Stuff pretty much just wipes of the leather.  I did put in weathertech floor liners in the cocoa color.  Good match.

Be bold.

Good luck

Love mine too.  Carbon black exterior with the walnut interior really looks nice and I'm glad I got it.  I struggled deciding due to not being able to see one in person rather than just pictures.  I've had unsolicited compliments on it and wouldn't hesitate getting it again.

What Bill^^^ said!  I've pretty much always had a black leather interior in my vehicles.  When I saw the dark walnut it just solidified my decision.  Plus...the Mrs. loves it!

Folks, I appreciate your feedback.  I am going with an SLE so I'll have cloth seats but I will address that with seat covers if needed.  I needed a push to get away from black.  Like was mentioned above it is tough to see the color combo in person so you are left with pics and videos on the internet.  I'll see if anyone comes in with any second thoughts or regrets but so far it's 100% yes for dark walnut slate!

I got tired off all black interior everything. I like the contrast of the dark walnut/slate interior. To add to that, I had a High Country with the dark brown/umber interior and really liked that as well. They're both nice at breaking up the interiors of these trucks.

I bought the brown interior sight unseen, too.  I chose it because I have dogs and I despise the black interiors for hair . .Ugh.  I always got the lighter grey choice, anyway but wasn't really happy to discover this time, to get light seats, I had to get the brown dash/doors.  But. . .it's actually nice in person and you really don't notice that it's brown!  I had to look a few times to confirm, lol.  The quality of the seats, though . .ugh.  Really cheap feeling and looking and so is the carpet--I don't know what they did  . .the previous years were always nice, this one not so much.  I got the SLE and, previously, always paid more for the bucket seats.  Apparently you can't do that anymore, so I have that 3/4 thing and I really hate not having the nice console . . and the poorer quality seats.  GM does the weirdest things . smh.

Well I am sold on the brown interior.  Will be ordering it for sure so thanks for the feedback :)!

Regarding the seats I drove a '21 GMC 2500HD a few days ago and could tell the difference between its seats and the seats in my '15 Chevy 2500HD so I can relate to what others are saying.  Since it was a short test drive I did not take a lot of time to adjust the drivers seat to suit me perfectly.  I won't say that I disliked the new seats they were just different from those in my '15.  Less bolstering and not as cushy.  A little flatter and firmer.  Maybe it was done to improve the long term integrity of the padding.  Chevy/GMC drivers seat left lower bolsters are known to get flattened out quite easily from people sliding their butts in and out of the truck.  It is likely it was also a cost save.  Time will tell.  I have read where people with the '20 and '21 trucks that spent a lot of time adjusting the seats to find their optimum settings do find a sweet spot but its a process and you have to commit to slight tweaks over a period of time to find it.

I have had 3 different GM's with the coco dune interiors. Other than feeling like the tan seat color was a bit bland I liked it. When I got ready for my new 2021 HD I was ready for something different, and that was going to be black, because in my mind there was no way brown and grey would look good together. Boy was I wrong! I absolutely love the dark walnut /slate combo. I do have leather seating, but it just looks so upscale. Glad I went with it over black.
