Hello everyone,

2020 Sierra AT4 2500 Duramax with 45,000km (28,000 miles).

I have been noticing what I can best describe as a shudder or a hesitation when just mildly accelerating or even at a constant speed with my truck.

Or perhaps the torque convertor isn't locking up, or even maybe stuck searching in between gears?

It seems to be happening constantly lately. No codes that I can tell and otherwise seems fine.

Has anyone had anything similar? and Ideas?

I plan to make an appointment with the dealer to take a look at it, but unfortunately don't have a lot of confidence in them.

Appreciate any thoughts or input.

mine is the opposite, notice it when not towing.

Its driving me nuts. I'm wondering if its the torque converter not fully locking?

Or locking and unlocking?

I am noticing the same issue so please update if they found a resolution as my truck is scheduled for service in a couple of days. 2024 GMC Denali Ultimate with just over 1k miles. Mine puts me in mind of shift shock but I also had some engine lights come on around 800 miles for traction control and collision warning. I was told it was an issue with the ECM and a reflash took care of the issue. The lights are out but still having this studder. My only other thought was a brake grabbing?

My Service department keep saying "can't reproduce the issue" which is infuriating to hear.

I hope the reflash works for you, please update if it does.

Mine does this as well. In addition, when stopped, it feels like I am on an overpass and the bridge is shaking. It is a very rhythmic bouncing. I first noticed the issue after bringing the truck to the dealer for a DPF reprogramming recall.

On another forum, people are saying it needs an injector small quantity reset but the ones who took it to a dealer for that got mixed results. I have not had a chance to get mine to a dealer for the issue.

I’m having the same issue with my 23 Denali. It seems like a flat spot somewhere between 7th Or8th gear ..  very concerning.  I had a valve body installed and that didn’t help. It seems like a fairly common issue that the service department should have an answer for.  Evidently not .  But for some reason valve bodies have a back order that is a few months out.  Go figure. I’ve only had the truck for two weeks. No service reports prior to my purchase. Pretty bummed. I love gm products. Traded in my 04 duramax for this.

Was this a bad move ?

I never did get an answer on this. It was never detrimental. I had the truck to 160,000kms. I have since upgraded to a 2024. Hoping not to have the same issue.

i feel it on my 24 gas 10 spd. reminds me of the dfm on my old 1500. just a tiny hesitation/shudder while accelerating before it downshifts. cruising at 45mph lets say.

This is the bs excuse I got for this condition.   Makes the driveability terrible, especially when towing
