Wondering what everyone is doing for they’re chrome exhaust tips. Can’t seem to keep them looking good for very long. Always seems to require some compound/polish way too often even with a good coat of wax on em.

 

any ideas?

What you are doing is about the best thing that works. It's just nature of the beast.

I did ceramic coat mine, Still gets the black residue from the exhaust, still needs to be cleaned often to keep the chrome looking nice.

Powder coat them a different color so you don't have to worry about it that much

 This is the only real solution If you don't want the extra maintenance.
