Bowtie_Beast Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 Wow! My profile is still active! lol Haven't been on here for a few years, but I'm looking at a 2008 Sierra. I did a couple different VIN checks, but none show the color. Thought that was kinda weird. Does anyone have a VIN check website you use, or even a list of colors for that year would be helpful. Not that I need it, but I was just curious. lol Anything else I should look for/at when I check it out? It's a 5.3 crew cab 4x4 with 122k. Thanks!

I use Compnine to get the RPO codes. 2008 will have 4-speed transmission. Late 2009s introduced 6-speed and could have integrated trailer brake controller plus bluetooth for phone and such. Any concerns with the suspension or motor?
CamGTP Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 Rust, check for rust. The bottom of all the doors need to be checked. Under the rubber trim piece they will start the bubble and rust at the metal seams. And of course wheel well rust. The rest is just normal mechanical stuff. 1
Bowtie_Beast Posted September 9, 2021 Author Posted September 9, 2021 Thanks guys. Looks fairly clean from the pics. Rust is always an issue in MI. 1
