I am new to this forum. Looking to purchase a late model (2014-2019) GMC 2500 HD to tow a fairly large travel trailer. I expect my question may be addressed somewhere on this forum, but being a newbie,  and not knowing my way around yet - I will ask anyway.

When searching online for a truck, it is pretty easy to determine if the truck has the Z71 off-road suspension package (emblem on hood, noted in description etc.). It is not always as easy to determine if a truck has the max trailering package.  Here is my question: Does the Z71 option mean the truck can not have the max trailering package?  Can a truck have both the Z71 and the max trailering package

I don’t think there was a max towing package. There were camping mirrors and fifth wheel hitch.the Z|71 suspension package included special shocks, badging, and probably tires, but I believe the suspension was the same.  Maybe someone knows different.

you won’t need any special towing features for towing a TT, though the camping mirrors would be nice…but we can always add those aftermarket.

The MAX Trailering pkg is a 1500 option and not an available option on the 2500.

Most dealers order HDs with Camper Mirrors as they know most folks use them for towing. As for the rest of the suspension the springs are the same, Z71 changes the shocks, tires and adds skid plates and badging.
