Replacement alternator

Hi I seem to have the dreaded noisy alternator and I was wondering if anyone has replaced a 150 amp alternator with the  170 amp alternator? I was thinking if I have to replace it and it would fit I might as well go with the bigger alternator. I am not sure if it makes any difference or not I have a 2018 Silverado with a 6.2 thanks for your time with my question.

I checked Rockauto,com & they show both 150 & 170 AMP alternator for your '18 6.2L. Check them out

Yep, I did this exact upgrade on my old 2014 silverado.  Easy to do at home.  No worries on this.
