Electric are city folk cars.  Can't drive one for any real distance without an extensive and long charge.  They are bigger polluters, besides the materials, the coal burned to generate their electricity is dirtier than the exhaust from our trucks, so we're actually better for the environment.

There is a reason why so many charging stations are in hotel parking lots!  🤣

You do realize coal is only 20% of the created electricity right?

I like the frunk. I think of it as a workstation at the front. I am always using the tailgate as a work space. The frunk is enclosed and lockable for tool storage, power outlets for power tools and battery chargers. With the hood open its covered from rain and has overhead task lights.

I would REALLY love it if it had a small diesel 'range extender' similar to how the Volt was set up. IIRC - the engine wasn't connected to the drivetrain and was only used to create electricity for the electric drive. Eliminates the sit and wait for hours to recharge the batteries, and lack of charging access out in the wild. All the benefits of electric drive - torque - without the downsides.

Yes, I was referring to all fuels save for nuclear power.  The other fuels generate more emissions than our trucks still.

Just like a locomotive or Fleet Boat, imagine if they had a traction motor at each wheel, it would serve as propulsion and a brake.  At this point I reckon the generators are too big, heavy, for what they deliver compared to the norm.

Natural gas is actually pretty clean burning. It does produce emissions but it really is not thaaaat bad for the environment.

Man made climate change is one of those deals you can find different (opinions) on the subject. I remember in the 70s it was an ice age is coming. Now of course it’s warming. I am of the opinion we definitely can cause pollution that can have effect on weather somewhat. And health. Changing climate that’s where I’m skeptical. With the rush to get off fossil fuel, I call BS. Fuel burning is becoming more efficient less polluting. I believe we should be leaning towards more nuclear for electric generating. Windmills no. Solar maybe. Batteries are getting there. What are going to do with the old ones? The problem I have with the whole thing is someone’s getting paid. The whole thing doesn’t feel right. Call me skeptical.
