Ok, back story, just bought the 2019 Silverado truck from a Toyota dealer, Nice truck, All Star LT equipped. AM/FM radio ant on cowl/fender. What looks like the XM/GPS/On Star ant on driver side roof.

Is it possible to get XM on this head unit? what needs to be done? My trade in has an active account with XM, and will need to switch over or cancel subscription. Yes I do have streaming with my service to connect via BT, but would rather have the XM in the unit...

TIA.

You need to contact Sirius so they can transfer the account to the new truck. You will need the radio code available on the infotainment screen.

Convenience Package II was required to get SiriusXM on the LT that year. Which confused and angered a lot of people as I recall.

There’s a few aftermarket solutions.

Also, if your SXM account includes streaming, you can just use your phone instead.

If the truck does not have the Convenience II Package, it won't have built in SXM.

No way from GM to add it.

Aftermarket might, there are some integration options on Crutchfield as well.

I got faked out by the 'shark fin' on he top of my 2020 when I bought it. I assumed it had XM, but it didn't. The shark fin was for OnStar.

Looks like I`ll be using the phone from the price point of the additional unit.

Im not sure how to tell if it has Convenience II package. has dual climate, heated seats, electric drivers seat, etc etc.

Yessir, looks like I got faked out, and when I called the saleman back he said he just assumed it had XM. I still have to take the service off my trade in soon. Dammm

Power sliding rear window.  Any LT or RST that has that has convenience II.

my friend has the 2018 Silverado with a solid back window and has XM radio... This must be something they changed in 2019?

I contacted XM radio and switch my service over to full streaming subscription, and removed the service from my trade. I my have to increase my data plan depending on how much the streaming absorbs...

I actually have a solid back window and XM.

You have a 2021. That was said to be specific to the 2019 model year.
