I keep getting a message that my windshield wash volume is low.  I don't think this is correct.  When I push the button on the turn signal yoke it sprays onto the windshield and the wipers work.  I've opened the hood and looked at the tank and it appears to be fine.  No visible damage.  When I opened the tank and looked it in there was still washer fluid in it.  I took my truck to the dealer and they said they couldn't duplicate the problem, and sent me on my way.  As soon as I left the dealers lot the I got the message again and immediately took my truck back to them.  They looked a little more, then told me it was normal and sent me on my way.  I'm very angry and disappointed in GM creating such a low quality truck.  I'm going to try escalating this matter with GM.  If that doesn't work, I'm going to try to lemon law this truck.  I should never get this message.  Momma was right when she told me to buy a F150 or Honda Ridgeline because they're better vehicles.

Has anybody else experienced this problem?  Anything I can do to fix this issue?

Is the tank full? I have had mine go off and it still had about 1/4 or a little over in the tank, filled it up and it went away. If its on the low side the fluid will slosh around when driving and set off the sensor.

You should go for a buy-back.

Sensor is supposed to go off before the tank is completely empty, just as low coolant goes off before the coolant is completely gone and the oil level sensor goes off before the engine oil is completely gone.

It's one of two things.

Tank level is lower than sensor OR there is a problem with the sensor (or its' wiring).

Fill the windshield washer fluid tank, so it is for sure over the sensor.  (if the dealer didn't do this they should be ashamed...)

If the  problem goes away -- operator error / misunderstanding

If the problem still exists -- dealer error / incompetence

--- or maybe an intermittent wiring / sensor issue

Good idea.  Think they'll do it quickly?

I love that the usual crowd comes in with honest and sincere suggestions to fix the issue.  All of you are the reason I love this forum.  I thought my trolling would be obvious by its ridiculousness, but I must've not been sarcastic enough.  It was meant to point out the ridiculousness of many opening posts to technical threads.  I know the issue is lack of fluid in the tank.  I know that all I need to do is fill it.  The point of my post/thread is the ridiculousness of the majority of threads where people complain and whine about everything, then say they're going to lemon the vehicle.  There is no dealer at fault here.  I never took my truck to one.  It will be going in for an oil change in about 700 miles, and I'm hoping the dealer fills the tank at that time.  If they don't, no biggie.  I'll do it myself.  Some people have legitimate issues with their trucks, but every thread doesn't need to end with some comment about using the lemon law to get rid of their truck.

Thank you guys for responding.  Hopefully this serves as an example for others about the ridiculousness of the posts that get started here.

Good God man, you had me going, while biting my tongue. I had to go back and see if "Transient" was spelled with a "ie or ei".

What, you mean my vehicle might not always be 100% perfect?  It's just a simple thing with tens of thousands of moving parts!

Has amazed me how many people making those comments about lemon lawing a vehicle seem to have been through that process multiple times.  Sorta like divorce...happens once it's life...happens multiple times then it's you.

It's never their fault.  It's always somebody else's.  I see it all the time in Southern California, lol.
