Powerstop Brakes Z36 Upgrade kit

Anyone running these?

Looks to be quality.

Looking for first hand user reports. 

I'm considering but like to do my research.

I've heard good things about the PPV GM replacements too.

I would like to drop 3 grand on brembos but cant see the value.

What was wrong with the OE brakes?  After 13 years mine still stops in under 150 feet from 60.  ACDelco also offers:

I have them with the standard rotors and they are good. Truck stops, brake dust isn't insane.

I never said anything was wrong with OE.

In fact they last a lot longer than Ford or dodge.

I'm looking for an upgrade.

Running a 10.5" lift with 38s I need an upgrade. Not that it don't stop but towing my trailer I could use a little more stopping power.

Besides I'm going to need brakes soon so that why I'm asking.

OE pads lack good cold initial bite, i think OEM is ceramic, i'm not impressed by this brake material

 

try a set of EBC yellows or Greens, they are dusty but better, Also the T1 rotor and calipers are bigger and swap over to the K2, after this Hydrobrakes from a 2500 truck makes the trucks stop better with increased pressure

I'd say you're an excellent candidate for larger brakes front and rear!

 

Wilwood made or makes 16 and 14.25 6-piston setups for the front and 4-piston 14.25 for the rear.

 

Brembo also has or had 4-piston calipers for the rear and 6 and 8 piston calipers for the front.  Some of their kits have 2-piece discs, some 1.

I installed the Z36 rotors and pads with the OEM calipers. That pic throws me off with the red - here’s what mine were: K6560-36 Z36.

 

Anyway, performance has been great. My rotors at 70k had some shake under hard braking, so decided to go with it. Running 35’s now, and they work fine. Can’t tell a difference in braking. I’d recommend. Have around 8k or so miles on them.
