Not sure if this helps at at all:

I re-wired my aftermarket heated seats to use F22 (heated steering wheel) fuse from the passenger side box. They were wired to F27 (RAP) fuse in the same box. I wanted them to come on when using the remote start. The RAP would not come on until I pushed the start button.  I still have to leave the seat switch in the on position for them to come on with remote start though. But they'll be on when I remote start it now :)

As a note: My 2020 RST did not come with a heated wheel. What I did may be an aid to your project?

Since I already had the fuse in, and it gets power when remote started. Would the heated wheel a direct swap?

Why didn't you use the OEM heated seat fuse instead of the heated steering wheel?

My tester showed 0V when I tried that fuse. The truck was on too. I think this one needs a BCM command to get power.

I'm guessing no progress has been made on this?  I just added leather wrapped wheel w/ heat option to my 22' Custom.  I'm having odd issue on mine where the left controls (cruise and collision avoidance buttons) work when the ignition is in the "run" position but truck not actually running.  When the truck is started they will not work.  The radio scan buttons on back left of wheel work, and all the right side buttons work, just no go on the cruise or collision avoidance.  I don't get it.  Anyone else had this come up?  The wheel I got is brand new also.  I'm stumped.  Guess I need to figure out how to get them working correctly before worrying about the heat button.

Is it a 22 LTD or Refresh? They totally changed the electrical architecture on the refresh. If the wheel is from an older truck it might not work. If you had them originally, swap the buttons over from your original wheel.

It’s actually a 2500HD.  I posted over on the HD forum but didn’t get any responses.  Seems like more 1500’s have done the swap so thought I’d try over here.

I've yet to hear of anyone getting the heated wheel to work.

At this point I’d be happy to have the other buttons on left side work like they’re supposed to.  Not sure what the deal is.  Only thing I can think to do now is take it back off and disassemble both wheels and swap the buttons and wiring over to the leather wrapped wheel and see if everything works then and just do without the heated wheel button all together.

Hi there, I recently added a factory heated wheel to my truck without needing any programming or software updates. I’m sure I could get a wheel working for you if you were interested.

What did you do to make it work? What year and trim level is your truck?
