Hi there. I just bought a 19 Silverado Custom, New Body Style. Came with the 7" screen head unit and NO Satellite radio.

Has anyone upgrading from the 7" screen to the 8" Infotainment head unit?  If so, what components or parts are involved?

Thanks for any help and advice!

Thank you kindly, GETGONE. That is exactly what I was looking for. That price is ridiculous though. I will watch the video and try to figure out what parts and components are needed for the switch and see if it can be done for a lesser price. I'd want to do all the work myself, of course. But thanks for that link!

The link by GETGONE, above is the only solution I can seem to find. 2000 bucks. That's absurd. I'd prefer an aftermarket solution from Kenwood or another car audio brand, but can't find anything on the market.

You can get the kit from Infotainment.com and do the install yourself.

The problem with trying to source parts yourself from a dealer or whatever, is that dealers would have to charge you outright purchase price for the parts.  Dealers are typically on an exchange part program with their radio vendors.

The other issue with sourcing your own is programming.  Places like Infotainment.com and MVI have the ability to custom program to your VIN for all of these features.  GM dealers can't help at all on this as they can program based on original content only.  You have to keep this in mind for any issues that involve radio programming as well.  If a dealer touches it, you can lose all of it as they can only flash to the latest updates for the ORIGINAL radio option in your truck.

Infotainment, MVI.com, etc. are the only true options here unless there are aftermarket options.  Looking on crutchfield.com however, 7 inch radio is pretty much in the dark.  I know that companies had options on the 14-18 trucks for larger and fancy screens, nothing yet for these 19-22 trucks.

Yeah thanks. 2 Grand for the upgrade is not worth it to me. But you're correct that there just aren't any other options other then the Infotainment.com one.

I listen to my music through my phone with Pandora, Amazon and iHeartRadio. When I bought my 02 Avalanche I bought a Bluetooth speaker . I noticed you can get some pretty decent ones. My 60$ one was bad ass. I can use it anywhere and do. I don’t use my house stereo anymore. It’s that good. I imagine the more expensive ones are much better for way less than 2K. Just a thought.
