She was being a moody ****** again last night so I got clearer video.  Here are screen shots of the messages on the dash.  Video is uploading to YouTube.  I'll share the link once it's done...image.png.a03fc92c39289c4380876b858d19e8e4.png

I believe mine said key fob programming. I just went and disconnected the battery as soon as I saw it happen. My running boards get all whacky afterwards too. I guess some people have this happen and come back later and it's "normal". Each time it's happened to me I wasn't home so I didn't have the luxury. I put a 10 mm socket in the center console after it happened the second time. I never expected it to happen again, but I was definitely wrong. I hope they can figure it out tomorrow. Do all of your cameras work? My front is out all the time. Usually the others work. I got the weird blue screen once and it hasn't happened since.

Yes all my cameras work.  Never really had any issues with that.

Mine has been confined to the no start issue due to it being in remote learning mode and the dead battery because it keeps doing it over and over again and stays on for HOURS at a time.

Here's last night's video.  Skip to 3 minutes flat.  Nothing happens before that...

Mine just says the key fob programming part. At least that's all I've seen. Hoping for a fix tomorrow. I won't know until it's been a while. On average I've been stopped by jt every 10-14 days.

The second message comes up about 10 minutes later.  This is far more frequent for me.  I get in and can't start it at least 2-3 times a week and if I'm not busy and it sits for more than 36 hours there's a good chance my battery is gonna be dead.  My master window switch was replaced today.  Took about an hour and cost me $154.

Crossing my fingers the such fixes it for both of us!

Me too! Twice it happened on my lunch break, which I drive to daily, so I didn't have time to mess around. The second time, I was 40 miles from home and I was lucky enough to find something to unhook the battery with. Fingers crossed 🤞 for sure!

So I can report that I had no messages, screens coming on, or lights flashing on my dash while the truck was off in the last 24 hours.  Obviously going to keep watching it and I'm probably going to keep the camera on it for 3-4 weeks when I'm not in it just to be sure.  Also, plan on trying to let it sit without starting it for 4 days and see if the battery dies.

Fingers crossed the window switch fixed it!

Hope that was it!

Did they get yours swapped out and your cameras reprogrammed today?

It's in the shop right now. They might have to keep it an extra day. I am hopeful.

Fingers crossed!  I'm over 48 hours since they replaced the switch and there have been no messages.  Haven't started the truck since I got home from the dealership and the battery voltage is holding steady as well.  So far so good...

So, they pulled a TSB and went through all the steps which included six things. They also added an extra ground from the starter to the frame. If it doesn't fix the issue they will do the master switch. I ordered one online and will switch it myself. $50 shipped was fair.

As far as the camera situation goes, the programmer said we'd have to lower the camera in the grill 4.5" because of my lift kit. It wouldn't let him do anything. Something about GM cameras don't allow you to prvogram the angle like Dodge and Ford do.

I'm pretty sure I read that the master widow switch required programming by the dealer that's why I didn't mess with it myself

Hopefully my mechanic buddy has all the equipment needed if that's the case. If not my other friend works for a gm dealer. I'll have him hook me up. I'm going to look into that right now. I appreciate the heads up.

    • Whoever greenlighted the work truck matte black front bumpers on every trim but the AT4X should be fired!  I was hoping that was an AI mistake, but just realized they were on every model of the 2027 Silverado too.     Some parts of the interior do look premium, but the Denali Ultimate dashboard looks like an afterthought.  At least they appear to have lost the microfiber the high end Silverado models showed, but the '27 High Country dash looks better than the Denali.
    • New member here. I am researching a read-first event-recorder concept for late-model GM V8 trucks. This is not a sales post. There is no product link, price, preorder, or mailing list. I am trying to determine whether the underlying problem is real before building anything.   Has your truck ever had a brief problem such as: - rough running or a momentary misfire - an oil-pressure warning or unusual pressure event - reduced power or a brief stall - a U-code or lost-communication problem - a symptom that disappeared before the dealer or independent shop could reproduce it   If so, I would appreciate the following details: - year, model, engine, and mileage - what happened and under what conditions - whether a DTC and useful freeze-frame data were stored - whether the shop was able to reproduce it - what the eventual confirmed repair was, if known - what additional information would have helped the diagnosis   The concept being evaluated is a removable leave-in recorder that continuously retains a rolling window from before and after an event. It would not tune, reflash, clear codes, or change the vehicle calibration.   I am also not claiming that it could predict lifter failure or see every internal ECM variable.   The real question is whether continuous event history would add enough useful evidence beyond freeze frame, GDS2, and existing scan tools — or whether it would simply be another unnecessary gadget.   For owners and technicians, which problem would make something like this genuinely useful: 1. intermittent misfire or AFM/DFM-related behavior 2. oil-pressure events 3. lost communication or electrical faults 4. none of the above Please be blunt. Negative feedback is just as useful as positive feedback.
    • No tears over the SLE and SLT trim levels disappearing but I kind of loathe the "Elevation" name. It's a truck--skip the elegance.   The slab-dashboard design is decidedly different. Almost has a Hummer flavor to it. "Professional Grade" seems to be leaning very white-collar, tech-driven these days moreso than blue-collar, functional design.   The Silverado would be my choice between the two new trucks. Pleased with the engine lineup in both. The GMC is a little "too much" for a truck, IMO, and the Denali borders on ridiculous - but I do know there are buyers for luxury trucks out there. It's just not my speed.

    • - I like the outside but not as much as the Chevrolet.  They ICE'd the EV styling and it works, but I think exterior goes to Chevy on this one.     - SLE and SLT dead = Not.  Surprising.  Fits into the rest of the GMC lineup like this which (aside from Pro) matches the rest of the family.  Elevation, AT4, Denali.     - Interior.  Sophisticated Malaise era.  Why do I say Malaise?  Drawn with a ruler.  Rectangles everywhere.  Looks very premium though.
