Tunes can't change anything to do with the oil pump/pressure. I can't even edit that feature with HP Tuners.

get a set of uni  filters on rocker covers,  you might be revving so high and puming more air thru the cover vent tubes than can be supported.

I would try building a valvecover vent system that can handle the displaced air.

Yeah PCV issue not a tune issue lol

Imagine thinking no cats and a tune correlate with a blown rear main lolololol

The downstream O2 sensor on the driver’s side was throwing a code indicating that the corresponding cat was not working properly anymore. It appeared clogged somewhat and also discolored in some spots. The passenger side one never threw a code nor appear bad in any way. I’m considering upgrading the rings along with a few other engine components but would hate to spend all kinda money not knowing if there’s something causing the rings to go bad. I know I’m not the only person that has the flashpaq for the 6.2L but can’t find anything else online about similar issues.

I have had a few motor guy friends, tell me that they have seen clogged cats from mods is causing some piston and rear main seal problems....a

My cats seem to be rattling a bit, and temp reading appear to show a problem..but no codes related to the cats are being thrown...

My rear main also blew while passing traffic, on a grade...

I am going to look into high flow cats and some motor work, and a good catch can vent system..

Lilbean1982, How much louder is it without the cats?..I already have the Borla attack, and it is loud enough (sez the wife..lol)

It’s not too loud…. for me anyways. I have flowmaster dual chamber 40 series. The noticeable gain in power is what I was after and did receive.

yeah if you have a tuned truck with power adders, I would swap to a catless system, due to high power output, your overheating the cats with heat and fuel, this causes them to fail, break and melt, cat failure could be caused by too much fuel, late timing and locked out VVT,,  the blown rear main is excessive pumping pressure from the cylinders in the crank case not venting

That seems to be the consensus, now do i just order a long block from Texas speed, or rebuild what I have....
