I have a 2007 GMC Sierra Denali with the 6.2l. It has about 190k miles on it. About the last 10k or so I have been dealing with the P0011 and the stabilitrak lights. I did several deep forum dives and have replaced the following. The position sensor, actuator and magnet....did not fix it. Then I dropped the oil pan and replaced the pickup o-ring....no luck. So then I decided to replace the magnet and actuator again (first time wasnt with OEM due to availability). After the last the oil pressure has been reading high (60-70) and the light stayed off....for awhile. Came back on today. Truck has NEVER driven poorly during all of this, but still throwing codes.

I have no idea where to go from here. It seems this is a fairly common problem but not a straightforward repair.

Any ideas are welcomed.

Thank you!

why are you chasing op issues for something that has nothing to do with the engine?

I'm not really sure what you mean. The p0011 code is the camshaft position sensor code. A quick Google shows that it frequently results in the stabilitrak light coming on at the same time. The fixes recommended that I can find start with the sensor, magnet and actuator and then the oil pickup o-ring.

Possible it's the wiring in that harness that is the problem now, you've replaced everything else.

Again, when it gets weird suspect the wiring, grounds, etc. I don't know jack about the stabilitrac system; I haven't had any problem with mine; I sure don't understand why oil pressure would have any bearing (no pun intended here) with a traction issue. I just read a description of the system and it's about applying the anti lock brake system to wheels that are slipping, the stabilitrac system can also sense when the vehicle is out of control and can affect steering according to the article I read. How that impacts with engine oil pressure unless oil pressure is used to tell the computer the engine is actually running or or not but there are other sensors that can tell the computers that like the RPM and cam position sensors/systems; maybe the vehicle uses more than 1 sensor to determine engine status...

Honestly I have no idea how or why they would be related either. The code that pops up in the system is P0011 which is the camshaft position sensor. EVERY time this code trips, the stabilitrak light comes on. Who knows why, but it seems pretty common unfortunately. I will have to start looking into the wiring.

No fix yet. I am actually having a hard time finding the replacement wiring harness. I bought the one that was supposed to be for my truck but it is 3 pin and my truck has 5 pins. I also replaced a brake switch behind the brake pedal as I read that my be it...no avail.

I'll continue to update if I find anything.

Did someone find a fix for this??.

I have the same problem.

So here's an update to this post. I have replaced everything I can think of and everything I've read online related to this code. I've replaced the sensor, actuator and magnet x2, the oil pickup ring, the oil pressure sensor, the brake pedal sensor, the fuel pump and the camshaft position sensor wiring harness as well as multiple oil changes. No luck, light still comes on. The truck has still never run poorly during all of this but the light continues to come on with the same codes.

What kind of oil are you running?

If I was in your shoes, I would sign up for the shop manual at AllDataDIY and following the troubleshooting guide for that code.  I would buy a Tech-2 as well if the simple diagnostics didn't work.  It would have paid for itself already in your case.
