I have a 2020 1500 LT crew cab standard bed 5.3l that was manufactured in March of 2020 in Mexico, it has "1500 LD" on the windshield cowl, but "LT" on the tailgate. I was wondering if anyone else with an LT has this difference in markings on their truck. It's not a big deal, but I'm just a little confused as to whether I have an LT or LD and why the difference in markings.

LD = Light Duty

As opposed to HD (Heavy Duty, 2500/3500)

LD is not a Trim, LT is your trim.

That part is marked Chevy LD so it is easily identified as being for the Chevy 1500 for GM’s purposes (inventory stocking, assembly, etc.). There are likely minor differences between that part and the ones for GMC and HD. At a glance they probably look the same, hence the need to be marked, similar to how you will find parts marked “right” and “left”.
