Fan runs wide open

The fan runs wide open and there is no reading on my temperature gauge. I changed the ect sensor, but same issue. Please help

An excess of tape or sealant can prevent a good electrical connection. Try disconnecting the battery for a beer or 2 and see what happens when reconnected.

Check engine light isn't on. Engine doesn't seem to be overheating, only warm after driving. The heater still works well, but the temperature gauge reads nothing. Thought about trying the ect sensor again, in case I got a bad one. Any ideas if there's a fuse involved somewhere?

replace Tstat and sensor.
