Check out Dorman #99352. 4 button remote comes with programmer that plugs into obd port. Requires one working key. Says it works on 2014 -2020 gm and chevy. $89.00 on Amazon. 

Maybe you can return your fob and purchase this kit.

note: they also make a 3 button remote.
