Does anyone know if GM is going to allow you to put lockers on any other trims besides ZR2?  Maybe have them install them?  I would also like to know what trails im capable of doing stock in moab.

You'll be just fine, here is that exact truck on that trail and it does very well. You don't need a front locker contrary to what many seem to think. These things have a front brake-based traction system that will pull 99.98% of anyone up and through what they get themselves in to. You have to be in an EXTREME situation to where a front locker is of any benefit over a front traction system. It may take a second or two longer and be a little jerky while it thinks its way through, but it will be all you need with less of a chance of damage to a fragile front locker set up (there is a reason so few IFS vehicles have ever had one, a locked system isn't good with the geometry and movements an IFS goes through). A rear locker is by far more important than a front locker for anything a pickup will see or do.

Here it is on Kane Creek that is a 6 out of 10 on the difficulty rating.

Check on Youtube, there is a guy who drove a crown vic on nearly every major track in Moab, in places that most people thought you just HAD to have a lifted 4x4 with lockers.   There is so much grip on Moab's red rock that you have a darn good possibility of breaking things if you leave your truck in 4Hi or 4Lo(4 AUTO is your friend in Moab until you hit sand).  The traction control systems on these trucks do a phenomenal job of gaining front end traction, I wouldn't worry one bit, just be smart about not trying to climb up the side of a cliff.  The only real concern you need to be mindful of is ground clearance.

Moab really isn't a hard place to off road unless you choose to go hard core.  It is newbie friendly with A LOT of drivable trails that could honestly be done in 2WD.  If your looking for fantastic views and want to test out your truck a little, then there are weeks worth of trails out there that any 4X4 can do without receiving body damage.  You don't need a front locker in Moab for 95% of the trails you will come across.  The other 5%.....well, you probably shouldn't be on them to begin with.

Agreed!  Avoid Mickey Mouse's hot tub.
