Humming noise when cold started??

[2023 problem]

I purchased a new 2023 gmc sierra 2500 duramax and have only 3,500 miles on it. It started having a loud annoying humming sound on cold starts. Has anyone figured out whats causing it? Appreciate any help

Someone else posted about this with his new GMC too with a video. I don’t remember which thread but it wasn’t that long ago

If it's only at cold ambients and after sitting for a while, I would look at fan clutch.

Had the same issue, mechanic replaced the fan clutch and auxiliary belt.

Note there are multiple pages on the forum with the resolutions on page 2, getting a lot of follow up messages asking if the issue was resolved, but it's all posted here

Do they Intentionally) drag the fan to provide load during cold weather / elevated idle starts?

Same w my 2022 HD. Seems to hum/moo when u press the accelerator pedal.
