I discovered a puddle of rear diff fluid on my garage floor. It appears my 2018 Sierra 1500 drivers side rear wheel seal is leaking.

Why me. 🥹

Truck has 78K on the odometer.

My passenger rear seal starting seeping and I still have my powertrain warranty so I had even less miles when mine started failing. I’m fortunate that it was covered.

I will take a look at the vent nipple and line. I made an appointment to get the truck looked at but it's not until June 8. I'm confident I can do this work myself, but I just don't have the time.

I took the truck in to have the seals replaced. They were both leaking. My wallet is $1200 lighter. 🥺

Hummm....sounds pricey for 2 rear seals. Glad I'm a DIYer. Was this at a dealership?

Not to pour salt on the wound, a few years back I had my rear axle seals done for $350. Local shop.
