It is if you don't know it.  But when you get used to it and can compare it to other fairly large airports, I think it's laid out brilliantly.  Much better than BOS, LGA, JFK, SLC,ORD etc etc....

But you are right, you had better have your walking shoes on because you will definitely get your steps in for the day...lol..

Its especially fun when your connecting flight has a gate change that no one tells you about until you get to the gate you were last told to be at only to find out its not that gate or that concourse.

(I havent flown in a long time though)

Gate changes can be kind of stressful.  Years ago that gate change could be on a different concourse, so you had to run down to the "plane train" and get to the next concourse ASAP.  Fortunately these days in Atlanta, I'm only talking about Atlanta, if you have a gate change it's on the same concourse.  They stopped doing that insanity about 10+ years ago.

Yeah, its been over 10 yrs since I flew. I dont fly for work since I am retired and we travel by RV

Funny thing, I've flown all over this world for free.  And I still don't like to fly...lol...It's just me.  I'm not scared of flying, it's just me.  Honestly, it's more the process these days of just getting on the airplane.  TSA is the worst thing I've ever seen in my life.  All of those blue clothes doing nothing but yacking at each other and one of them hollering out orders to take off your shoes and put your laptop in the bag and WTF....they are the so not needed...

With my work years ago I would haul my tractor out of town and fly home every 7to10 days. I’d buy a book of tickets from my travel agency. I could fly anytime. I loved flying. That was then. I wouldn’t fly anymore. It’s not fun anymore. If it was like the 90s I would only fly. No, I’m driving.

I totally agree sir.  My personal limit is well...we like to fly to Vegas and Boston.  And to London in a few months with friends.  But in all honesty.... If I can drive to where I want to go in 10 hours or less, I'm driving...over that...My butt is on an aircraft....lol.. for free so don't blame me...lol...I'll put up with TSA when I'm not paying a penny for the flight....they are butt holes though...

In most cases with the airport an hour from me. By the time I do the park and fly. Check in two hours early. Usually the flight is delayed. You take off make your flight. Get your rental car. Drive to your destination. I’m made my 7 hour drive to that destination. If you can drive it in a day, it’s not worth the flight.

I totally agree sir.  So tell me this....why are so many people flying these days?  The flights are stupid expensive, TSA makes it totally unbearable, but yet, so many people are flying these days.  Just speaking for Delta, we can't get enough aircraft in the air for the demand...how is that possible?

I can’t explain it. There’s more people driving too. I used to go on lots of cruises. It was unique. Now it’s herding cattle. I don’t mind spending more for an experience. I don’t want to feel like I’m being crammed or herded. That’s why I go to casinos. I’ve found a few that still sell an experience. And there’s a couple of card games you can play. That you basically cover your room, meal and adult beverages for play. Another words I get my room, food, beverages for free. I spend my savings on play. Sometimes I win. A lot cheaper than having a boat, collector cars and amateur drag racing.
