I just brought home a 2024 Denali HD 2500 with the 3500 frame and springs.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get the 3500 bumper badge so it reflects what the truck really is?

I am not sure what you mean by a "bumper badge" ?

The only markings that differentiate the 2500 from the 3500 are on the lower part of the front doors. Those would be a dealer only item.

There is a black badge package that includes black 2500 & 3500 badges, but it's like $220 MSRP ot something like that. Maybe you can find someone that bought them for a 2500 and they can give you the 3500 extras... Other than that I'm not sure if you can get the original silver/chrome badges separately.

Here's the link.

There is also a separate set that has the 2500/3500 with AT4 badging for the rest. However, I bet once GM gets the entire parts list up and running for the 2024s you'll be able to just order the 3500 badge by itself (maybe just in chrome though). Right now on the GM/ACDelco parts site you can only see parts up to 2023, while only accessories are shown for 2024.

But if the VIN is 2500, shouldn't you keep the 2500 badge?

It'd be a sleeper.  Like putting an Omni topsheet on a Works 01 😝

Good to see another slalom nut here!

Sure, but you don't have a 3500hd.  Your truck IS a 2500HD.  The VIN will validate and verify this all day long.  You have a 2500HD with NHT Max Trailer, which NHT Max Trailer is ALSO available on 3500HD.

The frame on the 2500 is the same as on the 3500.

I’ll be putting the Mack truck bulldog on my hood………..

Not quite.  There is I think one or two extra crossmembers out back or larger ones.  The rails are the same though I believe.

@MTU Alum may be able to shed some details on this better?

As long as he is clear about what it actually is when it comes time to sell it, I don't see the harm. People clone old muscle cars all the time (Skylark/GS, Malibu/Chevelle SS, Cutlass/442, etc.), so as long as you're not trying to sell it as a 3500 then slap on whatever badging you want!

I bought the black "6.6L Allison" badges for my gasser and considered ordering the Duramax badges just to pretend I had a diesel. 😁

You would also need to load a nice diesel track in the stereo and turn that baby up as you roll through town

Well, I had an exhaust leak that made it kind of sound like I had a turbo, then I just make the diesel noise with my mouth as I'm driving along!
