2018 sierra tow mirror to regular mirror issue

Swapped my power fold/signal tow mirrors to oem gm power fold/turn signal regular mirrors. noticed the puddle lights on the new to me regular mirrors are staying on at night at least when truck is running. i'm assuming this is due to the tow lights having the front facing marker light maybe. is there a wire to more or repin the connector in the door to correct this as it's annoying to me lighting up side of truck while driving. thanks
