The question that has come to mind is: Are the all weather mats shipped to the dealer in a manner that requires that they be trimmed or otherwise "cut" away from another piece of material?

Originally, I had seen what appeared to be possibly a small cut or tear in one of the corners of the passenger front mat, then a similar one on the driver's side (only more definitely a cut). Now, I am seeing similar markings on at least one edge of the rear mat in my crew cab. I'm wondering if this is the result of poor handling of a knife by whomever at the dealership put these mats into the truck when it was delivered or if it's pretty normal.

Passenger front floor mat shown as the 'milder' example.

The mats in my '23 fit like that.

I don't think it's anything your dealer did.

I'm ok with the fit... I'm specifically looking at the corner that's a bit ragged looking. This is the "cleaner" of the two front mats - the other one seems to look a bit more like it was cut in that spot.

That is a really bad cut.

That doesn't look right to me either. I had the center jump seat with the one piece Z71 floor mats. I replaced that with a full center console and had to buy 2 separate Z71 floor mats. None of my floor mats have any cuts or hack marks on them and the new 2 piece mats came together in the box (no cutting or trimming required).

If the mats didn't have any other material attached that needed to be trimmed, then I'm confused as to why there are seemingly pretty clear cut marks on the driver's side.

They aren't supposed to be like that, get the dealer to replace them.  Mine required zero cutting.

Thanks for the comments. Salesperson claims that other trucks on the lot are similar, but I am going to have to reach out to service about this to get anywhere. Any of you have those mats and could post a pic or two of yours to show what they -should- look like? Any additional data I can get will be helpful.

Thanks!
