When I purchased my truck the Finance Manager never offered me an extended warranty. I don't know if he sensed I wouldn't be interested or GM is no longer wanting to offer extended warranties since they're probably a loss for them in the long run.

Will GM send an offer to purchase an extended warranty when my truck hits the 3-year mark? Mopar did that with my RAM Rebel which I purchased since my Rebel was already on it's second engine and transmission.

When I got my 2023 Sierra back in September, I got the extended warranty. It was through GM. The F and I rep should have offered it to you.

When I bought my last Trail Boss in August 2023 I was offered a GM extended warranty. I passed but may purchase the warranty if I decide to keep this truck long term.

A lot of GM dealers are no longer offering GM extended warranties.  My dealership does not offer them however they do honor them.  On my last two trucks approaching 3 years you'll get a series of emails from GM protection plan.

My dealer offered a non GM warranty, but I'm constantly getting emails from GM about extended warranties and the different plans they offer.

Pretty sure that "GM" got out of the warranty administration business somewhat recently (within the last couple of years). It's all done through a third-party now. If dealerships aren't offering them, it's likely because there is no kickback in it for them to make it worthwhile.

We got a Cadillac XT5 last year and they’ve been sending us extended warranty letters about every couple months.  You’ll get letters, but don’t let the original warranty expire.
