I have noticed a couple of comments made on other threads regarding the unintentional locking or unlocking of trucks when people carry the key fob in their pocket.

My truck will frequently be locked or unlocked when I return to it. While traveling I really noticed this issue since my truck is parked right next to or right in front of the trailer. I sit down in the chair and notice my lights just flashed. I took to leaving my truck keys hanging on a hook by the door after finding my truck unlocked several mornings. I frequently hear my truck lock or unlock while I am working in the barn.

I have never had this issue with any of my numerous GM vehicles. Our 2023 Equinox has never behaved like this.

Seems like another design "miss" to me. However the surface of the buttons was designed I suspect they sit proud of the surrounding surface causing more errant activations.

Maybe GM needs to hire more rednecks in their design labs and fewer art history majors.

I would let Mary Barra know about this but she shrugged me off the last time I saw her in public.

I do question the "Real World Testing" protocols these manufacturers utilize.  It seems more and more stupid things make it through to the consumer.  Insert any common issue here such as: brake controller, leaking rear window etc, etc....I'm sure they sort of run them through their paces, but how some of the widespread issues aren't mitigated astonishes me.

I've seen this too, the truck's lights will randomly flash and doors lock/unlock when I'm moving around in the vicinity with the fob in my pocket. My wife is who brought this to my attention. None of our other vehicles, GM or not, have ever done this.

Mine has too.

I attribute it to tight jeans and fat thighs though it seems more prone on this fob.
