What kind of pig tail do I need for my 2024 Chevy 3500 HD?

I need to take my 4 prong from my boat and plug it into an adapter that fits the truck? What should the adapter be 7 or 5 blades? Help!

GM used to include an adapter for the 7 way plug to a 4 flat. If your boat is a 4 flat then that is the adapter you need. I had so many of them that I actually tossed a couple in the trash.

It used to be that if your truck didn't come with the trailer camera system, the 4 pin plug is right next to the 7 pin. I believe the trailer camera plugs took it's place.

 

On my boat trailer, I just converted the harness to a 7 pin plug and a junction box since I also added EOH disc brakes.

I assume you have the 7 way round and then the camera plugs on your trailer plug in the bumper?

 

If so, you just need a 4 flat to 7 way round adapter.

I have a decent adapter that plugs into the 7 pin and has both 5 and 4 pin outputs.  Also LEDs to test the light outputs.  I think I bought it at Canadian Tire.
