Is this the roof leaf that they stopped production to fix? I checked multiple times and they say my truck is not under a recall but I appear to have some leaking on my passenger side rear roof.

I'm having it looked at tomorrow buy a dealer. What can I tell them to cut right down to the chase and not BS around?

Anything is possible, but it shouldn't be the roof tear.  Those trucks were all placed on a stop sale that were on lots to be fixed, and it was a very small window of trucks.

Judging where your leak is, I'd be more inclined to think the rear window or the roof spoiler.

I appreciate the responses. It's a 2024 Sierra 1500 Denali that was purchased mid January and production was October or november, I'll have to check my sticker. It was definitely produced during the time frame. My 2023 that was previously totaled did not have this issue and I visited the car wash way more

If you have a new 2024 model truck, you should update your avatar to the correct info.

Where the headliner stops and meets the window. Look along that and see if the plastic window frame has a crack. Another thing it could be is the bolts that hold the spoiler on did not seal well when they were tightened. Here is the crack my 20 had when they took the window out for replacement.

They removed the headliner and have confirmed there is a leak. They are struggling to identify the source at the moment. It is very small and basically drips where I showed.

They said the usual suspects, back glass, rear roof spoiler do not seem to be the cause. I referred them to the GM Authority roof weld  cracking procedure/issue. They have to keep it until next week unfortunately.

GM social Media team says they will check on it next week. It's really frustrating such a new/expensive truck has an issue like this. They better fix it correctly.

Here's one of two fractures I found on the brittle plastic frame at the top edge of the rear glass. Repaired it back in December with a tube of 3M Urethane Seam Sealer, 08367, Black Color and it never leaked again. Just run a bead of this self leveling sealer alone the entire length of the plastic frame so water will never settle in the channel.

Is that photo taken from inside the cab or from the bed of the truck?

Taken from the outside looking down with the spoiler removed.

Here's a pic after applying the seam sealer. The sealer was glossy black. Blue painters tape was used to prevent any spillover onto the outside of the rear glass. Also, notice the circular rings of 3M windshield butyl tape I place around every bolt hole for the spoiler. I didn't trust the original foam washers that were deformed under compression when the spoiler was bolted from the factory.

If you are not aware already, this is a common problem that many have already posted about on this forum.

    • I Wouldn't Know Where to Begin    Oh I know where I would begin but I'm just one of over eight billion people on this rock. Eight billion versions of where the goal post is. How large it should be. How far to kick from. What ball is the right ball. Elevation. Age.....are you getting the point? It isn't about disagreeing with one individual. It's about agreeing only with one individual. One's self.   Agreement comes when multiple people hold the same point already. THAT is the goal of an education. Building the Social Contract. That thing that allows us to all read this sentence. We've agreed on the alphabet and how to arrange those letters into words we agree upon whose meanings hold true for everyone entering into that contract. Those words arranged into a sentence form an idea and several sentences strung together in a paragraph convey an argument for or against or inform the reader of a state, condition or perhaps reveal a things nature. Paint a word picture. Make oneself known.    This contract is not limited to words although they are often explained by words. Things like numbers and their usefulness. Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Music, Art and so on.    The frequency of middle C (C4) is 261.63 Hz. We build on that to make music we all can enjoy even if we all can not compose or play. You don't have to master it to make it enjoyable and useful.    So why is the Beginning so difficult? Why is agreement so elusive?   Everyone "Signs" the contract (when receiving that education in obtaining it)  but fewer and fewer in this world have any intention of living by that contract. They find exploiting that contract more advantageous. Disruption. With intent. Without intent. In Ignorance. In your face. With a double dog dare you. With a hold my beer. In resistance to that contract and in spite how it looks on us. It permeates the very air we breath.    In this way the contract is subject o advantage. Abide by it when it serves you, disregard it when it doesn't. Unpredictable and self-serving. Corrosive.....Toxic........   It says a lot about a persons character to disregard the contract, the truth, first principles. None of it good.        ********************************************************   https://medicine.yale.edu/news-article/character-vs-personality-who-we-are-and-who-we-aspire-to-be/   Just an interesting article.
    • It costs $5,250 for the Yukon Nightfall option (black wheels, emblems and illuminated black GMC grill badge). What a "deal".
    • I keep getting the above error message on my 25 Sierra.  If I reset the infotainment unit (via the phone hang up button) it will work again for a day or 2.   But I dont want to do have to reset  all the time. Works fine in my 2023 Corvette. On both vehicles I connect wirelessly.   I have a Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, phone is up to date.  Any Ideas.  See attached
    • LOL, its thrown a few people because this item is being talked about in the gas part of the HD forum. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to put a very brief wording in your profile with the year/GM or Chev/2500 or 3500/ and yes the 6.6 Duramax. When I joined this forum I could see the confusion ensuing for my own truck unless I had it listed with my chosen name handle unless one has a few vehicles that apply to a GM forum as that becomes confusing as well. Anyway its all good, makes for a little forum excitement 😉
    • Gasgacinch, James Gaskets. Good stuff. High tac to help hold the gasket in place while assembling parts. Fills minor surface imperfections. Slightly elastic. Gasoline / coolant / oil proof. Very handy stuff. Nothing like RTV.
