Randomly starting to get camera error notification when I jump in my truck.  Put it in gear to backup or whatever and the camera gives me a "Triangle" or "X" message with a blank screen.    It comes and goes randomly, never happens back to back....  Anyone else have this happen?  Any idea what the issue is?  Truck is only 6 months old...

I did a quick internet search and similar issues reported on the AT4 forum.  Seems like some sort of software issue where a restart makes the issue go away

Yes, I’ve had this issue and continue to have it. I’ve taken my truck to the dealership four separate times to rectify the problem. They have even replaced the head unit. It worked for a little while and then the issue returned. It is scheduled to be taken back to the dealership soon.  I also have been having issues with the tailgate mysteriously opening. I believe there was a recall for the 2500 series, but not certain for the 1500 series.  I have only 8000 miles on the truck. Not what I was hoping for in a new vehicle.

I was having intermittent problems with the backup camera after about 2000 miles. I did not bother the dealer with an intermittent problem (they will not fix anything if they cannot verify the complaint). After about 3000 miles I started to see condensation inside the camera lens and then the camera failed. The dealership made me leave the truck, then called to tell me the camera failed and they would have to order the camera. I told them that I needed a loaner and got a truck to use while waiting for the part to come in. Used to be they would have found one locally and sent me on my way, not anymore. The supply chain for auto parts is still f*cked up.

well the intermittent issue has gone full time issue.  Camera system doesn't work at all, last 2 days.  Based on what I read on the other forum, I pulled fuse F11.  Turned on the truck.  Let it run.  Shut it off, put fuse back in.  Same result, no camera.

Any other suggestions before I waste a few hours of my life at the dealership?

Our '21 Denali has been in the shop at least 5 times for various camera issues, both flashing to black in some views, all off in some views, and the red exclamation triangle you mentioned.  They've replaced multiple cameras, the camera module behind the rear seat multiple times, resealed the rear window because they claim water was leaking and shorting out the camera module another time, and its back in the shop now... going on day three and still waiting to hear what GM will approve to be done for the failing camera function this time.  Disappointed to hear a 2024 also has the same issues, as we're fed up with the time spent at dealer the for this and other electrical gremlins and hoped the newer trucks had resolved the problem.

Have blue screen back up camera 2019 silverado just bought has anyone foud out a fix

Welcome to the forum. My backup camera had to be replaced at the dealer.

the problem resolved it self.  Dumb theory but it seemed to be an issue on really hot days when the truck was sitting out in the sun.  Not an issue in the mornings or when it was cooler out.  Haven't had an issue with it in weeks now.

I’ve had the same intermittent camera problem since day 1 of owning 2022 AT4 2500, the dealer has been no help, they say they ordered a part to fix it then when I take the truck in they have lost the part or put it on another customers truck. Reset g to factory didn’t work, calling GM just tells me to take it to the dealer.  The last 2 times I’ve taken it in I either get a new service technician or the mechanic that deals with electrical issues is not there that day so basically pay to go in and be told they don’t know. Reschedule for another week, and oh by the way now it’s out of warranty even though you’ve told us about it since day one we contently taken that out of all our notes so now it’s on your dime.

    • If what you are doing works, keep doing it:   4LO (Four-Wheel Drive Low) should only be used in extreme low-speed, high-torque situations such as deep mud, heavy snow, steep rock crawling, or extreme inclines/declines, and you must follow the correct engagement procedure to avoid drivetrain damage. • Hi,   I work a steep boat landing that has patchy blacktop going down the hill and soft sand/gravel at the bottom. Due to low water levels, it's not always possible reach the blacktop. I've had to help several people get out this year already and with fall coming, I'm anticipating more. I always use 4L. There was a gentleman there today with a 2500 HD (actually 2 - him and his son both have them) and they were trying to get his son's wake boat out. This gentleman swears that you should use 4H in the soft gravel. Says he was a farmer and you always use higher gear when stuck. I was wonder what your thoughts on this are? If I'm wrong, it would be good to find out before things get busy.
    • Looking for feedback from users of roll up aluminum slat bed covers who have had it for more than 3 years. I prefer the aluminum slat style over supported vinyl covers due to security and the capacity to support a light load. The slight loss of bed opening when rolled up is not an issue. Presently have BAK Revolver the "industrial grade vinyl overlay" on mine is shrinking & coming loose at the rear and on both sides in addition to cracking at some of the folding joints. Truck lives outdoors in NC latitude. Can't justify the steep price to replace it with another one if that's the expected lifespan. Do you have a better alternative?
    • Thanks, your last sentence is the root of my problem, outdoors truck and southern latitude = UV overload. Looking at replacing with Rough Country powder coated aluminum slat roll up model.
    • I’m looking at putting a lift in my 2024 gmc sierra 1500 elevation trim, has anyone had any luck with fitting a bigger tire under the rear for a spare?? Was gonna go with a 4 inch zone lift Also what wheel and tire size setup are you all running? Wondering if I can get away with keeping around the stock size a 33 inch, and just get some new wheels to have enough back spacing then I can just keep my original spare tire I have under the truck now.
