I just saw on the Range Technology website they now have a module that disables the DFM and auto start stop on the 22+ refreshed 10 speed trucks.

Let me know how you like it and how difficult the install is when you get it.  Very very interested in getting one of these.

Will do. Install looks relatively easy. Peel back inner fender liner on drivers side front wheel and install inline with ECM connector just ahead of the strut assy.

From the ZR2 specific site, they say it takes like 10min to install.

One person has said after letting his vehicle sit for a day or so he came back to a dead battery. He thinks it may be the Range but others have said they have not had an issue.

Thanks for posting this.

One of the commenters on YT said this device stopped his Amp steps from working.

Guy on the ZR2 forum said he was able to get his Amps working again.

The guy on the ZR2 forum said he just disconnected the battery and reconnected it to get it to work.

Looks like Range changed its description and now says some 1500s DFM may activate at slow speeds when no throttle input is active.

So I guess V8 all the time except sometimes lol.

Looks it won’t work on my truck with a low 12th digit:

check your VIN. The 12th digit in a 2022.5+ Refresh model must be a '5' or higher’

Just to clarify... I emailed Range and asked about the 12th digit being 5 or higher.  It is only for the 22 model refreshed trucks.  All 5.3 and 6.2 Silverados/Sierras from '23, '24 and '25 are compatible.

Good info.  Thanks!

Does it work for the 4 cylinder Turbo???

Granted;  totally different system for cylinder deactivation, but just axing.

No Range Technologies says application is for  22.5 refresh, 23, 24 and 25, 5.3 and 6.2L V8s.

24 RST 5.3 10sp

got mine when they released and installed it. No start situation and tons of codes. Removed and reinstalled 4 times, same thing. They said they were sending me a new one. Got the next one, same issue.  Sending both back to them now.

Without it, trucks running as it should be, and after a couple drives the engine light is off.

No idea the issue but I sent them all info I could read from the truck with a scanner. We will see what happens!

Vin 12th digit is 1.

    • Can ask that about a lot of places.   Holiday sells 91 for $1 over 87 octane. BP 93 is 80 cents. Amoco 93 is 80 cents Kwik Trips is $1.20 for 92 or whatever they have and $1 for the 91.   I know that this is not exactly same as what you are saying with the premium to premium debate of those two stations but why is there such a difference. Top Tier this and that, it's all BS. All the fuel comes from the same damn refinery, so give me a break.
    • Why does Mobil Premium cost 90 cents a gallon more than Shell Premium when their regular offerings are but pennies apart?
    • Was all the way down to $3.69 a gallon but then jumped back to $3.99 just because for some reason.   Diesel floats between $4.80's to $5.10ish a gallon. I even saw Diesel #1 for $6.09 today but nobody in there right mind even buys that in the summer.
    • Mine just keeps lagging or getting stuck on the reverse camera. When I turn off the truck, get out, and close the door it will still stay on. It’s very intermittent and I would not be able to duplicate the issue.
    • I was checking out fuel prices at my farm fuel retailer at their pumps and yes the farm price is a bit lower than the non dyed fuel and was glad to see that the regular farm gas price has dropped a lot from what it had been but what blew me away was the price of diesel as the spread now compared to before the prices went up earlier in the year, diesel was actually slightly lower than gas which was a switch from the theme the last number of years. However that sure isn't the theme lately and definitely not right now. The prices I will post are not from that retailer but just looking at gasbuddy for the main city in this area and instead of posting the lowest price someone found I will list the higher price ( and that may not be the highest price, just whatever someone posted on gasbuddy ).   So regular gas and there are a lot of stations listing the same price for regular is 1.68 a liter, premium 2.00 a liter. Diesel 2.03 a liter for a top price I saw on diesel.   Figures out to 6.36 a us gallon Canadian funds for regular and 7.68 for diesel. With the US exchange rate it would be 4.58 us for regular and 5.53 for diesel.    Thought I would figure that out to get a picture of what it settles out like compared to various US prices and its about the same as the current price in Fairbanks AK as Anchorage tends to be lower. So yes, these would be the prices and higher along the way on the Alaska highway where they know they have a captured market !, for fuel prices for those beginning the long drive back to the lower 48   The problem is our Canadian dollar and going to the states that have the high prices, boy do we pay then !
