Similar to the All star (generic) and the Texas edition.

Seems like a missed opportunity to me.

GM marketing is sleeping on this.

Youre Welcome Mary.

Who in the hell is Tim Horton?

I think Detroit has clipped any individualism from Oshawa years ago. The Wrangler (possibly the Vancouver winter Olympics) package was the last Canadian 1. My bad during the GMT800 run there was a collaboration with BRP for Ski-doo and Can-Am graphics. I'm not sure if there was any content differences. That may have been built during my exile to the neighbouring Car Plant (where the interim K2XX and current T1XX production is).

The G vans out of the long gone Scarborough plant had a Made in Canada sticker on 1 of the rear doors, there has never been anything similar to that from the 'original' Truck Plant. I spent 2 stints there and saw all models from the C/Ks to GMT900s.

Ford had the Toronto Maple Package a few years ago & I occasionally seem them on the road.

If you were a hockey fan during the Original 6 years & into the 70s, you would know.

I remember the Toronto - Buffalo game the night he died. I think the Leafs won 4 - 0.

I think the lack of exterior color choices, no two tone and interior choices of gray or grayer is a strong indication of GM's desire to bang out as many similar units as fast as possible. Despite the millions spent on Flints paint shop a few years ago apparently multiple colors is still too far technically for them, which crack me up when I look at old pics with a dozen interior choices and a slew of exterior colors and combos.  They dont want Marys pay to drop below double digit millions.

I hear you. Oshawa got a complete new paint shop building for the GMT400 program. Prior to that the cab & box paint shops were 2 separate 'areas' on the 2nd floor. It was just a single line w/ a conveyor passing thru.

I'm sure in 1986 (the last year Oshawa built C/K trucks), the colour choices were similar. In addition to these colours we built fleet trucks w/ SEO colours. Some of you may remember the hunting/fishing/camping themed Outdoorsman packages w/ their specific colours, we built them as well.

Once the plant w/ the (I think) 8 lane paint shop started GMT400 production, colour choices dropped like a rock. We didn't paint many SEO colours either. I do remember 1 massive fleet order. It was about 400 or 500 chassis cabs (which I don't think we normally built, R05/dually extended cabs, pickups yes) that were an SEO colour. They ran them thru the plant in 1 batch.

A few years ago during the K2XX run, some dealers here were selling a retro two tone package. It looked OK, but the CHEVROLET on the tailgate was the wrong size & font. It didn't look right to my eyes.

My truck includes the True North package. Part of the content is heated seats & steering wheel. There is no badging which I think previous versions on the pickups (possibly Equinoxes too) had.

Is this option available in the US (snowbelt states)?

Funny you mention the Texas Edition. When we started building them (2005 or 2006?) We were led to believe they were for the TX, OK & AR markets). Fast forward to 2007 & they were available in Canada. The logger that did a salvage operation on our woodlot property after a tornado passed thru our part of Ontario, had 1.

Would the Tim Horton's edition have a voice assistant that didn't speak English?

No, just broken English...

Saw 1 today.

Now this 1 I dont recall. Im guessing it was just for vehicles GM of Canada supplied to the organizers:

Are those bullet holes above the drive through window?

Not sure, but seeing it's the GTA, anything is possible.
