What is w/ the 2 holes in the driver's side liner?20241205_202640.thumb.jpg.10fc21381deaa3c6a55d2d85c2f093f0.jpgScreenshot_20241205_203227_Chrome.thumb.jpg.fab59bc33a28d2ddb6f0f4e845bd4650.jpg

I have seen photos w/ the hole plugged. Looking at the backside & there appears to be a 'twist lock' arrangement. No mention of anything in the instructions. That sheet is more or less for the non-console version and how they 'connect'.

Does your carpet look like this? The two black "pegs" that the mats attach too?

Snaps into the two pegs on the floor on the driver's side floor.  Floor mat retainers.  See Toyota
"unintended acceleration" massive recall.

If you have mats there now, pull them out and you'll see the pegs.

I have no carpet in my truck which I’m very happy about and I have those same liners which I got free so mine don’t clip in but since they meet up on the trans hump there is no way they can move.

edit. Upon expanding pic mine look like those but mine extend all the way up the trans hump and connect to the passenger side at the hump

Thanks guys.

No the truck doesn't have carpet nor a console. I wanted to be able to remove, clean & replace them easily in the winter w/o having to deal with the 'connection' on the transmission hump.

As long as you don’t have anything sitting on the hump the connection is extremely fast to connect or disconnect. Literally less than a second but I suppose getting them in takes a few more seconds vs the ones pictured. Either will work.

Es ist verboten!

I'd consider adding some velcro or something for traction if you have the single mats.

The two piece that covers across might have been the better move...

Also...I will never understand why people put floor mats on vinyl floor trucks.

If you had seen the soaking wet padding & rust under the vinyl of my father's 3 year old crew cab back in the 80s, you'd know why. Living in the snow belt any snow or slush on boots melts & goes somewhere.

EDIT: I found this when I was cleaning the interior in the summer of 1982 after I had bought my 1st truck the previous fall. The underpadding hadn't dried out.

The actual floor feels soft I was surprised how soft it felt. So for that reason and to keep the white winter salt crust off of it and having the ability to take the Mats out and spray them down is why I got the liners plus I got them to include them with the truck even though they were pushing back big time on that.
