I was thinking about having the dealership install a 2" lift kit on my 2024 Chevy 1500.  Has anyone done this lift kit ?

Good kit, all factory components from the Trail Boss.  Doesn't void warranty and they will reprogram a bunch of stuff as well to have things like the forward collision camera work correctly for the ride height increase.

You may have to add the rear spring kit if your truck has the composite mono leaf spring setup in back.  If you see 3 or 4 leafs in the spring pack, you don't need the additional spring kit.

...except if one has the Max Trailering package.  It would be cool if there was a workaround.

That's because NHT Max Trailer has different spring rates and shock tuning for the added towing and payload.

I still don't understand why you can't add it to the max towing truck. It's only adding a lift block in the rear and not changing the spring rate. Different rated shocks maybe?

Removing the NHT bits alters the setup for NHT which would compromise it from its rated GVWR, payload and towing.

You're not replacing the springs, just adding blocks. Honestly just add a shock extender with the 2" block and keep the same shocks and it's all still the same except the height. Blocks DO NOT change spring rate.

AKA don't bother installing the GM kit at all on an NHT.  Some trucks do require rear spring swap (if it has the composite mono spring) but its still changing the shocks out regardless.
