I was a big Cooper Tire guy until I put a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S on my 2016.  Stock size P265/70 17.

I did get a lot of miles out of them;  but they wore awful on the inside and outside and were howling going down the road toward the end.  Every Chevy 1500 I see with these Coopers on them has the same scallopy tire wear.  IMHO;  it's inherent to the design of the tire.

I have a "house brand" from Discount Tire on my 2016 now call Rocky Mountain AT.................They are wear great and do not show the same wear as the Coopers.  A lot cheaper also.  Have almost 60,000 on them now.

I would look for a different shop for your alignment. The place I buy my tires from has a nice computerized alignment rack and I’ve heard several people say that they can’t properly align a vehicle. A friend of mine had them align his 2007 Tundra and it had way too much toe in and trashed his tires fairly quickly.

I aligned my 2016 Silverado twice myself using 4 jack stands, fishing line, tape measure, 12” scale, and a digital level. It has 2-1/2” lift with an Eibach stage 1 kit and 104,000 miles and I have not experienced any abnormal tire wear. The last set of tires were Mastercraft CXTs with 60k miles on them and they probably could have gone another 20k.

I don’t have a tire wear problem currently. I did on the first set of tires on my wife’s Genesis. I put road huggers on it problem solved. My Odyssey had cheap tires on it when I got it. Uneven wear. Good rain tires on it now. 40K miles later tires look almost new. I just got a Ridgeline. Has all service records. Got routine 4 wheel alignment. Tires are worn on the outside. I’ll eventually put on good rain tires. I have never gotten an alignment. We don’t have a pothole problem and I buy the best tires.
