I couldn't help myself  .

The traffic was really heavy this morning, backing up in the right lane. Quite a few people were running ahead in the left lane and trying to cut in at the last second.

I ended up getting stopped first in line at a light, with about a block to go to the exit. A riced-up Cavalier Z24 pulled up in the left lane, I could tell he was going to try it. The light turned green, he left with screeching tires. I let him get about a car-length lead, then I nailed it. He stayed in it all the way and so did I. He ended up having to let off and get in line behind me! He said some not so nice words, I just smiled at him.

I hate it when people think they are too important or in too big a hurry to wait their turn.

We've got a number of those intersections near my parents' house. People do the same thing all day long, and all that city did about it was put up signs that said "right lane ends"...now the purpose of the right lanes is basically to allow for traffic on the N/S street to turn right onto the cross street, and allow those at the gas stations/drug store, to pull out of the lots and merge in...the lanes should be right turn only approaching the intersection. It would alleviate a lot of problems.
