Gas Mileage

WOW I went to Canada today to do some gambling. When I came back home I figured up my MPG. I about fainted. 20.8. I dind't think the 5.3 could do that good. I'm impressed.

 

Dumb ass me left my factory exhaust in the bed and when he lifted the tounneu cover, he asked my why it was back there.

 

BTW To get back in the states you need a passport or birth certificate. I didn't need one the last 3 times I went.

Great! I have gotten 19.8 out of mine. Makes you feel good to get that kind of mileage.

 

Good old 9/11 made life a little bit more complicated, but that isn't to bad. Just have to remember to take one or the other. Happen notice the gas prices up there? Just wondering.

I got 20.3 MPG last trip. 55-80 MPH, hilly terrain, 5,000-7,500 ft elevation. 179 miles on 8.8 gallons.

Wasn't looking for gas. Just making sure I didn't get lost I just know everything is more expensive up there. I'll buy my smokes here and take them up there. Not pay 5+ a pack.

20.3! Wow, thats very impressive. My personal best is about 17.1

wow that is pretty good my personnal best is just over 17 mpg. When I first bought the truck I was getting just over 15 mpg.

Believe it or not put one of those "Tornado's" on, went from 15 to 18.5 consistently,'94 5.7

i used to avg. over 20 mpg on the highway doing 75, one time i got 22. but with all the miles ive been doing lately i let the wife use it around town, and went for a VW tdi, and now averaging 47 on the highway. its weird for me, b/c i actually accelerate faster and sometimes go faster b/c my fuel bill is so much lower. with the truck, any time i would use all of that wonderful power my gas gauge was falling faster than i was goin, so in the end i would drive slower. in the end im havin more fun and savin at the same time, but i do miss the extra space.

hey guys! talk about gas milage, i was getting only about 20.25 top with the ac off and driving like a 90 yearold woman on the way to church. Built me a cold air box, thats right built....cost me a whole $60.00 and now i am getting 22+ mpg driving like a madman 80+ on the interstate with A/C. I use the K&N re-0870 filter rated at 890cfm. oh yeah got my diablo today but they forgot the t-stat. checked my intak air temp with the old box and then with the new....10+ degrees colder on a high 70's day ( IAT 86)vs(IAT 100+)
