glove box light?

just wondering i have a 2004.5 gmc cc 4x4 d/a.

it does not have a glove box light is this normal

seems very chezzy if so.my buddy has a 01 cc

1500hd and he has one in his glove box help?

by the way mine is a 2500hd

Hi banshee,

2004 Silverado 2500HD.

I had to go check, but no glove box light here either.

I am sure my 02 1500 had one....

That's what they call "de-contenting". No glovebox light, no in cabin air filters, no velour on the door panels, no under hood light, no footwell lights, no center console lock, and the headrests don't twist forward and backward. OK enough bitchin'.

I keep finding lots of discrepencies from my 01 to my 04. In addidtion to the ones listed, you can add the passenger seat is now manual and not the 6 way power. Coat hooks in the back are fewer. It just keeps going on and on.........

LOLOLOL Well said jrkrace o btw did anybody notice there is no keyhole in the passenge side door handle if you have electric locks, I had mine for 8 months and just noticed it 4 days ago.

Yep, You gotta love the way GM cheapin the trucks up but still raised the prices

My '99 I had stickered for $30,700.00 and my new '04 stickered for $34,875.00 and I always get every option you can get minus leather and it has less content as you guys metioned earlier......no glovebox light,no underhood light,no lights under the dash,no full overhead console (just a little "mini" one),no lock on the center console,the spare tire lock is now a $15.00 option,no pwr.passenger seat for cloth interiors and the no cloth on the upper door panels sometimes makes me feel like I'm driving a base model truck!!! The darn thing stickered for almost 35 grand,it is not even close to "base model"

I guess GM thinks we won't notice this stuff or we won't care if we do notice,and I guess they figure they need to take stuff out to make up for all the rebates they have been giving out.

I think we all just need to contact them and let them know how we feel

still guys you have to admit that the little stuff is easy

to disregard for the quality of the truck. i personaly would

never buy outside of gm products never had any major pro

blems with them working at a ford dealer/linc i see all of the

crap that goes into them so im kinda one sided. i will go out

today and buy me a mini flashlight for the glovebox and deal

with it thanks guys
