Left turn signal problem

 Just bought a new '04 GMC Sierra two weeks ago. Within a week the left turn signals stopped working. Dealer replaced the t/s switch and said all was fine. Next day left signal quit again. But before I could get it back to the shop it starts working again. Of course technician can't diagnose problem when there isn't one. So I have to wait till they fail again, then head straight to the dealer.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem with their truck and if so what is the solution?

My guess would be to check the left turn bulbs, you may have a bad one that makes intermittant contact....just a guess

I had a similar problem on a 93 GMC Z71 that I had. One of the front turn signals would quit working once in a while. When I took it to the dealer, they could never find the problem. I found the problem by moving wires around the light bulb socket. There was a short in the socket or the wires going to the socket. I replaced the socket and never had another problem with the turn signals. This is something you could try.
