Tiregate

Got tired of the spare tire sliding around in the truck bed. The OEM mounting location will not accept the 315mm H2 wheels. What to do?

I'm trying to fab up a hi-lift and jerry can mount for this system. Comments?

It swings out nicely and despite some install/fitment issues, is an AWESOME addition to the foolsize. (in background is tool box and CO2 tank mount) It may also be reversed for an outboard mounting application with little effort--just reverse two bolts. I have no connection to the comapny, but wanted to pass along this alternative, especially for those that actually wheel their 2500s in rough conditions and want a hard mount for the spare and other trail goodies.

I like the tough look of facn8me's spare in the bed (he's got the red foolsize), and this has that same tough look.

How's it look from farther away?

And I hope this is not a dumb question...What's the CO2 for?

Its not a silly Q: Why CO2? There are many good reasons to carry a portable tank of at least 10lbs. You may then power air tools, reinflate ur tires back to street pressure and inflate camp mattresses (altho, thats why we use the York http://www.kilbyenterprises.com/compressors.htm#trailhead

for that need and as a primary air source. We also use the CO2 as a shield when welding and best of all, power the portable blender using a die grinder. Aah, margiritas in the woods/camp are mucho better than plain old beer. (winters excepted). Eventually the tank mount will go inside the tool box, thereby= more room in the bed and better tank security. Go to http://www.powertank.com/start.htm

Very good stuff and worth every penny when u need copmpressed air. On my rockcrawler, we use the CO2 tank as a back up to run the ARB lockers.
