An Okie Saying Hey

Thought I should introduce myself. My name's Mike and I'm from Mustang, Oklahoma. I've owned two trucks before, both of them big block Fords, but my latest is a 1969 Chevy C/10 with a 350 and an automatic. I'm a total newb with Chevy, so I'll be asking a lot of questions that might seem dumb to you old pros out there.

 

The truck's in pretty good condition. I bought it as a project for my oldest son and I to work on together. It already runs good, so mostly it's cosmetic stuff that's going to be done. He changed the rear brakes the other day and did a pretty good job of it considering it was his first time. We're doing the window regulators and the front brakes next. Then the speedo (hopefully just a cable) and some rust repairs in the bed. Thankfully they're pretty minor. The short range plan is to pull all of the trim, sand it down and paint the whole thing black. Hopefully we'll be done by the time he starts his senior year this Fall.

I would bet it's Texas. But there are several of us from OK, that seem to be really active on this board.

 

What we need to do is see which state has the highest % of members based on state population.

 

As in if there are 20,000,000 million Texans' in this world, but only 20 Texans on this board.

compared to 2,000,000 Okies with 10 Okies on this board. Ok would have a higher %.

 

(wow I just looked it up, Texas has just over 20,000,000. Thats a scary thought)

There may be a lot more trucks in TX and OK, but not nearly as many people that can figure out computers and internet forums.
